Epic and amazing. A sci-fi Outlander. A little too long and villains (mostly the human ones, I liked the alien ones actually) were a bit mustache twirly. I loved the whole faith theme running through the story--in a higher power, in those we love and our most basic truths down to which beasts are deadliest vs least threatening--and how even when that faith is tested over and over again those who hold on tightest are the survivors.
